2019 - Rembrandt and the Dutch Golden Age
In 2019 it is 350 years since Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669) died. Reason to honor the artist and bring extra attention to his work, his contemporaries and the 17th century in the theme year Rembrandt and the Golden Age.
Expected: The Main Gallery | Republic at Sea
From May 10th, The Main Gallery will be the starting point of the museum visit. It tells the story of the growth, prosperity, and decline of the Netherlands as a maritime nation in 60 minutes, taking 50 masterpieces from its own collection as the basis.
Expected: Maps & Marvels
From May 10th, Maps & Marvels shows how the world was discovered from Amsterdam, as well as how the world came to Amsterdam during the Golden Age.
