With unprecedented pride, The National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam / Het Scheepvaartmuseum may now call itself the winner of the 2022 VriendenLoterij Museum Prize with the theme 'Best Neighbour'. What an honour and what a wonderful recognition for the museum.

After the arrival of Saint Nicholas, until the 5th of December, it is possible to admire Saint Nicholas' steamboat every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday from 11:00 - 15:30. You can take a look in Saint Nicholas's bedroom.
You can see his supply of carrots for his horse Ozosnel and find out what Sint Nicolaas is spraying in his beautiful beard! How special!

The exact dates are: 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27, 29 November, 1 and 4 December, between 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Het Scheepvaartmuseum is één van de drie finalisten voor de VriendenLoterij Museumprijs 2022 met als thema ‘Beste Buur’.

And experience the power, beauty and craftsmanship aboard this powerhouse. It can accommodate 90 people on board and admission is free (on presentation of a museum ticket). Registration is done during walk-in in the museum itself at the information desk.
