Walk-in workshop – A sea of stories

Walk-in workshop – A sea of stories

In Nancy Bosmans’ colourful picture book *The Girl with Seeds in Her Hair*, you’ll meet Yaa. A long time ago, she and her mum had to set off on a journey on a big boat, far away from home. What does your home look like? Come along to read, write or draw about it. Which memory, place or object would you like to keep forever? Drop-in sessions every day between 11.00 and 15.00. In collaboration with ArtPlayground.

Plastic Fishing with Plastic Whale

Plastic Fishing with Plastic Whale

There’s an awful lot of water in the Netherlands, and we need to look after it properly. Will you help make the water around the museum cleaner? This summer, the Plastic Whale boat will be moored at the jetty again. Put on your lifejacket, climb aboard, set sail and join us for some (plastic) fishing! Until 16 August, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 12.00, 13.15 and 14.30.

Discovery Tour – A zigzag tour through the museum

Discovery Tour – A zigzag tour through the museum

Great to see you at the museum! It’s a huge building, isn’t it? If you’re not sure where to start, pick up a copy of the tour. From north to west and from outside to inside: on this tour, you and your family can see, draw and do all sorts of things. Available daily at the Open Courtyard.

Junior audio tour

Are you curious to find out what’s swimming around in our brand-new fish hotel? Or would you like to know what sort of food was served on board a VOC ship? And why it isn’t such a good idea to hunt whales? You’ll hear all about it on the junior audio tour.
